“I have no issue with it; I think it’s all part of the game,” Johnson shared with CNN’s Coy Wire. “A guy starts dating a girl who happens to be the biggest star in the world, and he’s a fierce competitor on the field. He’s a force to be reckoned with in the game, and it’s all part of a narrative. But ultimately, as I’ve discussed with a few people privately, all that fades away.”

“You’ve played the game,” he continued, addressing Wire. “So you understand that at this level, all that external noise disappears. You need to strip it all away and focus on one intention: to perform at your best and excel in the game.”

“That’s the beauty of it.
