Taylor Swift’s team has responded following reports alleging that Taylor’s father, Scott Swift, was involved in a physical altercation with an Australian paparazzo.
According to People, police have confirmed they are investigating an “alleged assault after a 71-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 51-year-old man at Neutral Bay Wharf.” However, authorities did not disclose the identities of the individuals involved.
The incident reportedly occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, with police stating that it was the younger of the two men who reported the altercation.
Fortunately, the man did not require medical treatment.
Swift’s representative has since spoken out, explaining that the altercation arose from aggressive behavior directed towards Taylor and her security team.
“Two individuals were aggressively pushing their way towards Taylor, grabbing at her security personnel, and threatening to throw a female staff member into the water,” the representative told People in a statement.
This incident comes on the heels of another reported altercation involving actor Jacob Elordi. According to Variety, Elordi was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with a radio producer for The Kyle & Jackie O Show.
The producer, Joshua Fox, reportedly approached Elordi at his hotel and made a request that left Elordi feeling uncomfortable. Police are also investigating this incident, as confirmed by Variety.
As investigations unfold, these incidents serve as a reminder of the challenges faced by celebrities and the importance of respecting personal boundaries and security measures.
