Brothers and NFL stars Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce delved into Super Bowl memories, including encounters with Taylor Swift, on the latest episode of their “New Heights” podcast.
Jason, the older brother and center for the Philadelphia Eagles, reminisced about watching the game from a suite alongside Swift, where notable figures like Shaquille O’Neal also sought to meet the singer.
“It turns out Taylor is quite the magnet for attention,” Jason mused about his brother’s girlfriend, noting, “It was my first real glimpse into the demands on her.”
“There were so many celebrities around, all wanting to pay their respects to her. It was a bit overwhelming,” he admitted, mentioning he had to step out of the box at times due to space constraints.
Fresh from clinching back-to-back Super Bowl victories as a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, Travis chimed in, “It was like the Vegas Super Bowl, star-studded!”
“Taylor thrives in those moments. She’s no stranger to them,” Travis continued, emphasizing her comfort amidst the glitterati.
Swift also left an impression on Jason when she introduced him to Beatles legend Paul McCartney during the game.
“Here I am, chatting with Miles Teller, discussing football, and suddenly Taylor taps me on the shoulder, ‘Jason, turn around,’ and there’s Paul McCartney!” he recounted with amusement.
“There’s definitely some serious star power in her circle,” he chuckled.
The duo also shared their thoughts on Swift’s Jumbotron moment, where she was captured chugging a drink during the game.
“That made it onto the big screen! Impressive!” Travis exclaimed. “And the slam down! She’s a pro at this.”
As both a passionate fan and performer, Swift is set to resume her “Eras Tour” this week with a concert scheduled for Melbourne, Australia, on Friday.
